Ian Green, Music Director at Ryerson United Church, Ancaster; Rev. Dr. Kurt A. Richardson, minister at Ryerson United Church, Ancaster, Ontario; and the Ryerson United Church Choir facilitated a special Christmas Service at Carrington Place Retirement Center, Ancaster, Ontario. The choir lead the audience in Christmas Carols that were requested by the audience, Ian accompanied the group on the piano. Rev. Kurt spoke about the special meaning that the Christmas Season can have for all of us, regardless of age. There was a light lunch served afterward in which the choir, Rev. Kurt, and Ian had an opportunity to mix and mingle with the audience. This was a special way in which the beauty and special qualities of Christmas could be brought to those that might not have a chance to do so. Thank-you for those that attended and participated!

Friday, November 11, 2011
Ian Green, Music Director at Ryerson United Church, and the Ryerson United Church Choir, assisted in officiating the Remembrance Day Service for the community of Ancaster, Ontario.
Along with Dr. Kurt A. Richardson, minister at Ryerson United Church, and Geoff Tiller (from Mississauga, Ontario) on trumpet, Ian and the Ryerson United Church Choir lead the service in singing powerful and meaningful hymns and special music; thus created a moving and appropriate community service held on at the Old Town Hall.
Refreshments were served afterward as a Lancaster Bomber plane flew overhead in a solute to those that had fallen serving our great country of Canada. It was quite an honor to serve the community in this meaningful way.
Thank-you to those that attended this special service of remembrance.
